Hello, everybody! I am Cédric!
Chapter 1: The Basics
Let’s start with the beginning, who am I, where I come from, where I am going; these are good questions when you think about them. But let’s make it simple and traditional.
I am 23 years old (2025) and I live in a small town north of Nantes called Treillières where I have lived from my earliest childhood until today. It’s a small village, with everything that’s ordinary. There are houses, people and roads (to put it simply). This small town also has gyms
where I had the chance to practice judo for about ten years and badminton for 5 years.

Chapter 2: The Journey
I have had the chance to travel to quite a few places, whether in France or abroad. From Brittany via the Massif Central to Ireland, Germany and the farthest country of Kosovo. Travels were often synonymous with “camping”, “car” and “church visits”. These trips most likely made people want to move and go on an adventure even more.
So it was with this baggage that at the age of 18, in the middle of Covid, I left with my backpack to the Marquesas Islands, on the island of Ua Pou, in order to do woofing (work in exchange for lodging and meals on a farm) for 2 months. An unforgettable experience that made me want, later, to learn more about the world of the farm. Then I boarded a small sailboat to Fakarava in the Tuamotu archipelago. 5 days of dreaming on a small sailboat? Not at all, for I spent most of the journey lying in my cabin wishing the interminable end to this incessant pitching. After a liberating arrival, I decided to spend a week on this island exploring the surroundings, both on land and at sea. Back to Tahiti for a few weeks with hiking, pancake sales, snorkeling and many other activities. . . I will end this trip with a few nights in Bora Bora to see a friend I met there.
This first trip as a backpacker marked the beginning of a great adventure that continues to this day.
This trip made my mouth water and I wanted to see more ! The following year, I went to Corsica to walk on the trails of the famous GR20! Ten days in the mountains walking amongst lush nature, cut off from the world. It’s a treat! A stay on the island of Malta and a road trip to the south of France/Spain will end in beauty this year 2021.

Chapter 3: Spain and the UK
The year 2022 has been very rewarding in terms of travel. First of all, I wanted to learn Spanish. And what better way to immerse yourself in the country and learn its language ! So I went to Spain for about 3 months, in the charming small town of Salou, to practice my favorite job: animator! Imagine spending your days doing aqua gymnastics, playing pétanque, table tennis and dancing, in a rather friendly setting, all while being paid! In short, a summer of good humor. But all good things have an end. Well, not necessarily. Back in France for a few weeks, and here I am again on the roads to England!
It was really this trip that made me want to go around the world. I changed cities as I wanted, I lived with amazing people and I lived day to day. I could get lost in the mountains and then, two days later, do a rather. . . unusual Indian meditation session! A karaoke session with people from all over the world, a sleepover with a Polish tattoo artist passionate about magic mushrooms or a volunteer at a Buddhist temple. These are just a few examples that can give a small glimpse of what the journey was like. Without forgetting a detour through Ireland, rich in encounters that I will not forget!

Chapter 4: Italy and St Tropez
The year 2023 began with a trip to Italy in order to learn some notions of Italian. Freshly arrived in Turin at the beginning of March, I began to look for work, but after about ten days I had to face the obvious: I would not find a small job here. So I made the decision to change cities and headed for the coast in the charming city of Genoa (Genova for the locals). Perseverance paid off and I was hired 2 days later as a waiter in a bar-restaurant. I will work there for about 1 month and a half and will learn the basics of Italian at the same time as the job of waiter/bartender. A short week’s holiday to discover the West Coast, then it’s time to return home.

I went back to the south to work as an animator in a campsite for the summer! Head to St Tropez, a small village well known and popular among tourists. Luxury cars (obviously) and yachts are common here. It is in this little corner of France that I spend the summer doing animation with the children and teenagers who come to spend their holidays here. The 2 months will pass very quickly and the return to the west will be in early September.
